Grand Theft Auto....or Was She Framed?!
Snoozle
I just thought Anna looked too cute lying here on the couch taking a snooze. For some reason I can never capture the true cuteness of my kids in pictures. I have only a handful of Ben pics from his infant days that really look like him. And here I am having the same problem with Anna. This pic no where near captures how cute and posed she looked. But you will just have to take my word for it.

Anna and Ben
Anna is almost three weeks old and doing well! She is definitely fussier than Benjamin was, but Ben was freakishly good. She sleeps well at night usually waking once in the wee hours to eat. She is starting to be awake more and alert. She enjoys batting at the animals on her activity mat and actually rolled over once. We are fairly sure it was just a fluke though.
At her two week check up last week she was already 8lbs4oz and happy and healthy. The only minor issue was an umbilical granuloma which is a little piece of umbilical cord that remains once the stump falls off. The doctor treated it with silver nitrate. Unfortunately, the silver nitrate leaves this hideous brown stain that shows no signs of wearing off!!
Benjamin has had a rough week between teething, adjusting to his new sister, and a weird unexplainable fever. He definitely has a temper and knows how to use it. We are trying to give him lots of extra attention, but we assume this will just take some time.
In an effort to keep Ben happy and occupied we broke out the markers and crayons for the first time. He did a little scribbling and then had more fun sorting everything.

A Looooooonnnngggg Overdue Introduction!
Well after waiting and waiting and waiting and passing my due date and then waiting and waiting some more our dear Annabella has finally arrived amidst much pomp and circumstance!!
I was scheduled to check into the hospital Monday night for induction Tuesday morning. After contractions all day Monday I was still only 1cm when I got to the hospital. I woke up at 1am Tuesday morning in the hospital, in labor and by 3:56 Anna had arrived with the helpful suck of a vacuum and with the neonatal unit in toe! At the last possible moment she decided she didn't want to be born via induction LOL
Anna turned out to be perfectly healthy and had no problems. It was a crazy whirlwind and I am still left wondering what happened. It was a surreal experience.
Anna was TEN days late!!! She was 7lbs15oz and 19.5inches long. Here are a HEAP of pictures. I am so behind in sorting and posting, but at least I got this out there. Hopefully more to come soon.
