My Homemade Socks!

Many moons ago I took a sock knitting class at Woolbearers my very lovely local yarn and fiber shop.

Two weeks ago I actually finished my socks! They were done on 4 double pointed needles....not a fun way to knit in my opinion! But I am happy with the final project even though they bled all over my laundry ;)

I looove your socks! I've never been able to accomplish socks! I cannot figure out little baby booties. I cannot get the heel figured out in my little brain! Great job! I guess for such beauty you will be required to hand wash?

How are you feeling? I have a package for you but my car is in the shop so it will have to wait until I can get to the post office.

I've been thinking of you, your little family is in my prayers. God bless!

Dear Lily,

Once you learn the heel its pretty easy I thought. I had trouble with the toe (kitchener stitch).

The socks are machine washable...I just stupidly didn't separate my colors and whites because I just wanted to get all the laundry done. So I have ruined a favorite white shirt in the process :(

I am feeling good. As Cla said the other day, "She feels fine other than being exasperated!" that basically sums it up!

Did you see I tagged you for a Meme a few posts ago?!!!

Yes! I saw the tag, but I have not been online much lately. I keep popping in here to see if there is any news! I have a couple of postings to catch up on, your meme is on the list for hopefully over the next couple of days. You know, I've actually been getting a bit of sleep lately! Between sleeping, a sore bum (still sore from my fall!), and bad internet connections, I'm not getting much posting done on my blog or anywhere else for that matter.

I am so glad to hear you are feeling well. Exasperation and exhaustion are two crosses to bear late in the pregnancy.

So the toes are harder? I've never gotten that far, lol. I've also only ever tried to crochet socks, I wonder if it makes more sense when you knit a sock. Knitted socks are so wonderful. Did you knit elastic in? Some knitters in my group do and others do not. Will you ever make another pair? Did you do both at the same time or one at a time? I have a friend who uses two sets of round needles to knit both socks at the same time. I really need to learn how to do that. I'm not sure I would ever do a second sock if I finished the first one, lol.

I'm thinking of you,

I hope you are all well and I look forward to hearing all the news.
