Bunny Understands

Bunny is rivited by the sad Michael Jackson story. Bunny always understood Jackson's plight.....afterall, Bunny used to be totally black!

"As long as you're my kitty...it don't matter if you're black or white..."

Update :)

A Day of Firsts??

Well we had our first call to poison control for munching on a hydrangea (keep in mind this is a child who will eat NOOO veggies and very limited fruit.....yet will walk up to outdoor plants and take a bite???!) which it turns out is poisonous. But fear not. Apparently a toddler must ingest quite a bit of hydrangea in order for it to be toxic.

Then this morning he woke up with these two bug bites on his face. They look rather harmless in the picture but are rather purple and gnarly in real life. Not sure if it is mosquito (as we were playing in the yard yesterday afternoon...you know playing with cars and munching ornamental shrubbery), or spider. I spotted a spider in his room the day before and in the midst of dealing with a waking cranky toddler I forgot to go back and squish it. And then last night he woke shrieking at 12:30 am and was pretty inconsolable. So we aren't sure what the culprit was. But there ya go...the baby is pock marked!

In brighter news Ben outgrew his first pair of summer sandles....they were too big just two months ago! The little computer featured in an earlier post has lead to Ben being able to identify about half the alphabet.

He has his first molar coming in. Which is causing quite a bit of heartache for the little fellow.

He can now say: bye bye, cat, bird, baby, mama, dada, papa, shoes. And he says want and trucks/cars in his own language. LOL...want is "et" and trucks is "fretz".

Father's Day

For Father's Day Cla decided he wanted to go to Tyler Park in PA. It is a beautiful state park with a great playground, a creek to wade in, and lots of paths and trails for walking/hiking.

This is just a pic of Ben doing a little reading while we got everything ready to go. He loves sitting at the table now.

Here is Ben VERY excited to be out and running around on the playground. I assure you he was screaching with delight!

We discovered a little maze to go through. Here is Ben picking up a pebble while trying to make his way through the maze.

And he's off!

Trying to climb his way out LOL

Daddy with his sweet boy.

Because we have had so much rain the creek was really fast and deep. Usually it is very shallow and gravelly and kids run around on the rocks, but we had to hold Ben carefully and just let him put his feet in this time.

Here I am at 36 weeks. I LOVE wading in the creek!

Claudio looking for salamanders and other amphibians.

And on the way home we saw this rainbow :) Its hard to see but it is next to the second pole from the left.

Ben's Intro to the Best Smelling Toy Ever Invented!

I Missed My Calling

My Playdough frog.....achem..

It's All Fun and Games Until....

None of the pictures came out too clear, but poor little Benjamin in his exuberance caused quite a collision between his head and our outside stucco wall.

He was dancing and stomping around on the porch and accidently stomped down on the back of the little rocking chair. So the chair rocked back and knocked him in the head, which sent him flying into the stucco wall where he smashed the other side of his head.

He has some scratches and a pretty nice lump and bruise. I am betting it will be quite colorful tomorrow.

If it wasn't so tragic it may have been funny! But he was quite the trooper...cried a bit, but was all smiles within minutes. He is a tough little mite.
